Mission & Vision
Texas Congregational Disaster Readiness (TXCDR) is a comprehensive, collaborative, and coherent action plan to help Congregations to work together to expedite relief and recovery in communities impacted by a disaster.
The TXCDR program prepares Congregations to effectively respond to disasters by mobilizing leaders and volunteers that are prepared and equipped to help their neighbors recover from disasters of all kinds.

Coordination
Coordination is key to TXCDR's effectiveness in shortening the gap from disaster to recovery and assuring that the most vulnerable are not left behind. Congregations respond to their local needs first and then volunteer to serve with TXCDR to address the broader community's needs. We strive to be good stewards of all the resources God has given us.
Communication
Communication is essential to both Coordination and Collaboration. We strive to avoid jargon and speak plainly. We work to communicate clearly about what has to be done, the resources assigned, and expectations for completion, and we hold ourselves accountable for our performance. We use AlertMedia as our standard tool for Communication.
Execution
We honor God in all that we do by using the resources we have been given to efficiently and effectively deliver relief to our clients through our focus on execution. We set and are committed to maintaining standards that reflect the best practices available. We train leaders to follow our process so that the services we provide help our clients recover faster. We are committed to continually improving our processes to help as many people as possible.
