The city of Orange, Texas is in need of tarping and household supplies. If you are looking for a distribution center on the front line to ship your donated supplies to please consider Faith UMC in Orange, Contact sonya.meyers@hopedrtx.org to arrange shipping.
WORK TEAMS
Tarping teams of 5 - 6 adults are being deployed to Jasper and Newton. Please contact Godfrey Hubert at ghubert@txcumc.org or 281-433-1412 for information. Cost: $125/person/day (covers lodging, food, materials and pre-assessed sites). Registration: Sonya.Meyers@hopedrtx.org Untrained teams may sign up for training in order to qualify for deployment. Chain-sawing & Clearing: Plans are under way for the Missouri Annual Conference Chain-Sawing Response Team to offer training for teams wishing to serve in this capacity. Due to the risk involved in this work, all teams must have attended an in-person training. Please notify Sonya.Meyers@hopedrtx.org of your interest. We will notify you as soon as more information becomes available.
